Steph-Esther Mekwuye
has an accomplished academic career from her early days
where she achieved 7 distinctions as a "head girl" in
her primary education, to gaining an LLB Law degree from
a UK university which came with the Paris Smith prize
for the best dissertation in Law. In between her studies
Steph has also been involved in teaching English and
Literature, completed a specialised course in colour
psychology, been a LexisNexis representative. She has
worked in a number of Law firms on a variety of subjects
including IPR, Commercial and EU Human rights Law.
In her early days, entering a catwalk competition was
the beginning of an eventful modelling career that took
her global. Her first international shows were in Paris
and Milan, she has since worked in Africa, Asia, America
and Europe: Her passion for fashion also landed her in
the retail industry gaining first hand practical
experience in dealing with customers, giving her a
unique understanding of styling and efficient customer
services. She topped that experience with the knowledge
gained from the colour psychology course to understand
the practical effects of the science of colour. Her
humanity passion combined with unparalleled
organisational skills led to a charity fashion show for
Fair Trade which attracted large crowds and was aired on
the BBC. Steph's global outreach brought her in the MB
New York Fashion week in 2010, where Steph was involved
in the production of a documentary in which Steph
interviewed fashion designers including Dona Karan of
DKNY, Carolina Herrera, Max Azria, Betsy Johnson,
Catherine Malandrino and Custo of Custo Barcelona,
amongst others.
With an outstanding law degree, an experience in
international travel, multicultural awareness a passion
for fashion colours, style, organisational skills and a
love for people, She hopes to someday bring her skills
under one unique organisation.
